Project Details
The project task involved combining Zep's multiple domains into one comprehensive site. While e-commerce was the main focus, integrating additional company information and wholesale/industrial product details was also key.
Tasks: UI/UX
Role: Senior Production Designer
Previous Website
Previously, Zep's e-commerce and industrial offerings resided on separate product-focused domains, with a third site hosting corporate history, information, and news updates.
Site Map
A detailed site map was developed based on Zep's provided requirements, complete with notes and external links to guide the design team and developers.
Design System
The website's design adhered to Zep's established branding guidelines for color, typography, buttons, and iconography.
Notes/Questions for Client
Clear documentation with questions and notes facilitated understanding of intended interactions before development.
High-Fidelity Designs
Although not initially involved, the project's complexity prompted bringing in additional design support to clarify client needs and organize the navigation and site map. Collaborating with a coworker designer, initial page designs kicked off the process, with an ongoing exploration of custom graphics and layouts to meet Zep's specific requirements.
Consistent communication between the polished site map, fleshed-out design system, developer director, and eventually new members joining Zep's team ensured thorough coverage of all pages and user interfaces despite the tight timeline.
Zep was thrilled with the final responsive design delivering a cohesive, seamless experience that exceeded expectations across desktop and mobile platforms.
These designs are a few examples where I focus on the user interface of the site’s navigation for desktop and mobile platforms.
